Things to Do in Liberty Hill

Take in fantastic art sculptures at Liberty Hill’s Sculpture Park at Lions Foundation Park, founded in 1976, and home to more than 27 unique sculptures. 

The Liberty Hill Public Library, considered “The Heart of the Hill”, offers more than 15,000 books, has weekly story time, and promotes several reading programs. 

Head down the road to Georgetown and experience some of the oldest caverns in the state at Inner Space Caverns. 

The Austin Steam Train is a terrific family outing for those looking to experience the gorgeous Hill Country. 

Located just between Georgetown and Liberty Hill sits Tejas Park where you can experience fun on the water. Spend the day boating, fishing, and swimming or take a hike along the 26-mile San Gabriel Trail. 

Annual Events

The Liberty Hill Fair and Rodeo is hosted by the city every April so, head out to the rodeo to enjoy barrel racing performances, a carnival, Mutton Bustin’, and more. It promises to be a boot-scootin’ good time. 

When May rolls around, check out the Whimsy & Wonder Art Festival on Main Street where downtown businesses transform their shops into art galleries that support local artists, live music, and live art demos. 

Every December, you’ll enjoy the Liberty Hill Christmas Festival and Lighted Night Parade that hosts snow playgrounds, a Jingle Bell 5K Run, Santa’s Village, Reindeer Games, Holiday Marketplace, food trucks, live music, the Trail of Lights, and more. 

Everyone loves movies. Each summer in Liberty Hill, you’ll find summer movies in the park, thanks to City Park Cinema in Liberty Hill. Weekly movie showings, food vendors, and friendly neighbors are just the tip of the iceberg.

With the Fourth of July comes fireworks and loads of fun at the Independence Day Spectacular in Liberty Hill. A family-friendly event hosted by the City of Liberty Hill, you’ll enjoy the Splash Zone, mechanical rides, kid’s activities, food vendors, a free concert, the list goes on and on.

In October is when you’ll enjoy the International Sculpture and Hot Air Balloon Festival in Liberty Hill at the Lions Foundation Park. More than 25 sculptors from six different countries gather to showcase their art. The hot air balloons are a new addition.
